Accounts Payable Clerk
We have an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Clerk. The Accounts Payable position is responsible for general accounts payable functions including invoice entry, employee reimbursable expenses, vendor maintenance, internal control compliance and other office and general administrative duties as needed. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team.
*Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities
*Resolve PO’s, contract invoice, payment discrepancies and insure credit is received for outstanding memos.
*Maintain good vendor relationships to avoid payment term changes
*Answers vendor phone calls and emails
*Record expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoices and expense reports
*Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements
*Maintain records for Vendor W9 forms including 1099 filing
*Maintain AP files and related documentation
*Assist with general office duties in Accounting
*Review and ensure compliance with internal controls (proper approvals, documentation, payment terms, etc.)
*Sort mail and mail checks upon obtaining the proper signature.
Education and Experience:
* Associates degree in Accounting or Business or two to three years of administrative
*Working knowledge of accounting software, preferably QuickBooks, and other basic software such as Excel, Word and other Microsoft products.

*High attention to detail and organizational and prioritizing skills
*Customer-first work ethic (internal and external customers)
*Positive interpersonal skills, high adaptability and have problem-solving skills
*Must be a team player, can work independently and use sound judgment
